ACTOR Motlatsi Mafatshe continues to collect more wins.

The talented actor has joined the second season of BET Africa’s loved sitcom Black Tax as Nkanyiso.

He will join seasoned actress Jo-Anne Reyneke, who is the star of the show.

Speaking to SunBuzz, Motlatsi said he was over the moon when he was approached for the role.

“This is because I was a fan of the show since its inception as I felt like we are starting to tell great sitcoms in Mzansi, which is something that I love,” he said.

Motlatsi described his character as the guy next door.

“He is a divorcee who lives with his dad and daughter.

“He is a very cool guy who understands the dynamics of black tax. I believe people are going to enjoy the wittiness that comes from the character and how he blends into the story,” he said.

The former Isidingo actor said the show is going to be a conversation starter.

“This is because everyone relates to black tax. It resonates with us on many levels.

“There are a lot of lessons that are going to be learnt and I hope we were able to portray them so well that people watching the show can converse around them,” he said.

Monde Twala of BET Africa told SunBuzz the channel is excited to bring the second season of its first, locally co-produced original comedy sitcom together with Showmax, following its hugely popular and successful first season.

“The expanded storyline, with new cast members, promises to bring more laughs for viewers’ entertainment. BET Africa is committed to industry investment through partner-led collaborations that bring local content to showcase black culture, excellence and storytelling,” said Monde.
