ALTHOUGH the show is coming to an end, popular telenovela Legacy is beefing up its cast and making the storyline more interesting.
The star-studded show is introducing the character of Jabu, played by Sphamandla Dhludhlu.
According to producers, Jabu is a strong, masculine man in his early 30s.
“He is the most beautiful man many people have ever seen! Even in blue overalls, people will turn heads when he enters the room. He is unapologetically confident, and a natural trickster who uses his looks as a weapon. And, he finds his next victim in the Legacy offices,” the statement read.

Producers further said Jabu would cross paths with Sanele, played by Teboho Tsotetsi, when he is at the Legacy offices to fix air-cons.
“From the moment Sanele lays eyes on Jabu, he’s mesmerised by his beauty – and Jabu knows this. Jabu unapologetically exploits Sanele’s weakness for him, by making him his cash cow. A lot unfolds with their relationship and Sanele learns secrets about this mystery guy who turns out not to be what he thought he was.”
Legacy is coming to an end, and M-Net released a statement confirming the sad news last year.
“Our viewership surveys guide us to adapt our content to the evolving needs of our customers. While Legacy is a popular show, our M-Net 101 customers have indicated that they now want more limited series rather than long-running telenovelas. The success of our local strategy depends on how well we tune into what our customers would like to see on their screens.”
