RADIO personality Criselda Kananda has lost her father.

She announced this on her Facebook page yesterday, but didn’t say how he’d died or when.

In a heartfelt message, she thanked her dad Victor Manxhola (75) for giving her life and wished him eternal rest.

The post was accompanied by her wedding photos with her dad and three broken-heart emojis.

“Death be not proud. Rest in perfect peace, Tata. 2020 #Sekwanele,” she wrote.

Criselda was soon flooded with condolences from friends and followers.

Phinda Pheladi MtyaMatlala wrote: “I’m proud of the daughter you were to him.”

Khanyi Magubane wrote: “God be with you and your family at this difficult time.”

Speaking to Daily Sun, Criselda said her dad raised all four of his children with love and respect.

“He had a good heart, but was strict. Whenever we were around him we knew we were safe. He taught us good, valuable lessons. He was our hero.”

Criselda said the funeral would be on Saturday.

“The service will start at 6am. We’ll then proceed to Benjamin’s Church High Praise Centre in Vosloorus in the Vaal. By 8am we’ll be at South Park Cemetery, where he’ll be laid to rest.”

She said the funeral would be small due to lockdown regulations but would be streamed on digital platforms such as Facebook.
