LIMPOPO artists Makhadzi will be celebrating her recognition award in Venda taverns and clubs.
The Ghanama hitmaker made the announcement on her Facebook page on Saturday night, 26 February.
Makhadzi and Diep City actress Lettie Lebohang were recently honoured by the Limpopo government for raising the province high and making significant contributions in the creative industry.
Makhadzi received an Appreciation Award while Lettie was honoured as the Best Limpopo Female Actress.
Makhadzi’s post read as follows: “I just won the Appreciation Award from Limpopo Sports Awards. I’m going to celebrate this award in any club or tavern around Venda today. Hune ndadodomangala ndo paka hone. Ndido fhedzisela ha bomboo na marshal.”
Lettie said: “I made it as the Best Limpopo Female Actress. Thank you so much my beautiful province. Thank you @Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.”

Lettie’s fellow colleague Dawn Thandeka King wrote: “Congratulations my darling, I’m so proud of you.”
The Sport, Art and Culture Awards 2022 ceremony was held on Saturday at Meropa Casino, outside Polokwane.
MEC Thandi Moraka said the awards are aimed at honouring creatives, sportsmen and women who have excelled on and off the field in various categories of their performance. The awards further gives the government an opportunity to pay tribute to those who excelled in various sporting codes and national and international arena.”
