Lunga Pilo dreams big for his career.

Musician and actor Lunga “Lunga Pilo” Nogqala is a versatile triple threat in the entertainment industry.

His big vision and plans are to grow his brand as an actor, musician and entrepreneur to compete globally.

Following a 10-year break to find his feet, Lunga has now gained more confidence in music. He returned to the industry in 2018, and has released six singles.

Co-owner of record label Popa Musiq Entertainment, Lunga will be soon releasing an amapiano song titled Daideng.

The artist from Khayelitsha in Cape Town told SunBuzz that in the early 2000s he was the leader of a kwaito duo called Ellese Vibes but left to pursue acting.

“I grew up being inspired by Brenda Fassie, Zola 7, Mandoza and actors Menzi Ngubane and Connie Ferguson.

“I told myself that I’d venture into both acting and music.

“So I took a break in music to pursue acting.”

Lunga said he’s now ready to do both and showcase his talents.

“I made my name on TV as a lead actor named Akhona on the movie Ezibiweyo.

“I then got featured on the movie Ilifa.

“Both aired on Mzansi Magic in 2017.

“I also got my break on Mzansi Magic series Nkululeko as Mzu, aired on Sundays.”

Lunga now sings Afro house.

“I will drop singles to first make my fans familiar with my music,” he said.
