SIBLINGS and media personalities Lasizwe Dambuza and Khanyi Mbau fondly remembered their dad on the anniversary of his death.
Both taking to social media, they posted that they missed Menzi Mcunu, the well-known businessman who died last September after a short illness.
Lasizwe relayed how painful being an orphan was.
“This is painful! Today marks one year of your passing. One year of being an orphan and of constant pain – of not having parents,” he wrote.
“I’m in tears typing this message as it is so painful living day to day without having parents. My biggest wish is to hear my parents say: ‘Congratulations Thulasizwe, my child’.”

The media personality also shared another message under the comment section, advising people to treasure their parents while they were still alive.
“Please promise me you will treasure your parents while you still can and they are still alive. This hurts, especially when you’re trying to do well for yourself,” he wrote.
Khanyi wrote a letter to her late dad, saying his death had not yet sunk in.
“Dear dad, it’s been 365 days since you have been gone. It still hasn’t sunk in yet – it will not sink in. We miss you in this realm. May the All-knowing treat you well. Till our spirits cross paths again, remember me,” she wrote.
