DJ and TV presenter Lamiez Holworthy has made a mum from Twitter the happiest woman.

The Live AMP presenter offered to take tweep Bongi Mahlangu and her son, Thato, on a holiday.

Bongi, who is loved by many on Twitter, is known for selling atchaar.

On Thursday, 29 April, Bongi tweeted about her new trolley that she used to carry her stock. She said she bought it to make carrying her load easier, but she had to carry the trolley because the grovel around her house didn’t make it easy for her to drag it.

Lamiez commented and said she loved that Bongi worked hard. She also said because it was Thato’s birthday recently, she’d like to take them on a two-day holiday at The Blyde in Tshwane.

“I remembered that it was your son’s birthday the other day, and you work so hard that I figured two days-nyana ko The Blyde would be dope. Please let me know – I would like to make it special for you both,” she wrote.

Bongi, who was happy about the offer, thanked Lamiez. On Sunday, 2 May, she posted pictures from her holiday and said she didn’t know how to thank the presenter.

Then Lamiez and her rapper husband, Khuli Chana, surprised Thato with a cake and balloons to celebrate his birthday.

She said that they would bring Thato one more gift when they took the mum and son home on Tuesday.

Twitter users have since been commending Lamiez for what she did.
