TV presenter Kim Jayde is mourning the death of her gogo.

The former MTV Base presenter took to Instagram to share the sad news about her gogo’s death on Monday, 21 June.

The Zimbabwean-born and raised personality said she has been home since her gogo’s death last Thursday, 17 June, healing a broken heart with her family.

In her post on Instagram, she posted two photos of her and gogo. One them was recent and the other was a photo of them when she was still young.

The presenter said she can’t believe her gogo is no more.

She thanked her for raising her alongside her mum and dad, and for every lesson she taught her.

Jade had previously shared her gogo was in her 90s.

“God called my gran to heaven last Thursday. I’ve been home in Zimbabwe with my family healing a broken heart ever since... Even writing this I can’t believe you’re no longer here, picked up your nightie, it still smells like you,” she wrote.

“You raised me as much as my mum and dad did. I’m thankful for every lesson and for your never-ending support in these crazy dreams of mine. Love you forever gran. Until we meet again,” she wrote.

Kim always prides herself about her gogo being a Ndebele from Zimbabwe and always reminds people she’s a mixture of Ndebele and her white British grandfather.

She always celebrates her home country.

Soon after she wrote the post, fans and fellow industry mates such as Moozlie, Courtnae Paul, Ayanda Thabethe, Thabsie and Chi Mende sent her messages of love and condolences.
