AMAPIANO artist DJ Kabza De Small recently pulled a no-show, disappointing a lot of fans.
The musician was booked to perform at an event in East London on Friday, 17 September, but did not pitch.
Local promoter DJ Jigga Wasemdantsane, who organised the event, took to social media to apologise to everyone who had bought tickets and explain what happened.
He said they were set for the day after booking expensive equipment, hiring transport and booking flights for Kabza and his team.
But the problem started when Kabza, real name Kabelo Motha, arrived at the airport to find the flight cancelled.
“He arrived early at the airport. So, we came up with other suggestions and alternatives for him to take another flight from another airline to Mthatha. But Kabza refused, saying he did not want to drive for hours after landing,” he wrote.

DJ Jigga added that they found a flight that was going straight to East London for one passenger, but Kabza still declined to take it, saying he would not leave without his team.
The organiser said what broke his heart the most was that Kabza carried on with his life as if nothing had happened, even posting on social media and going live without giving his fans any explanation.
“My heart is sore, especially after so much effort and sleepless nights,” he said.
He asked everyone who had bought tickets to return them so they can get a refund.
The Sun Team reached out to Kabza, who said: “He did not plan things properly. He should have checked the flight properly. And with regards to releasing a statement, I was not made aware that I needed to. I would have because he didn’t really have to go on social media to make me look like a bad person. We could have sorted this out properly. And with regards to his money, I will happily refund him.”
