PASTOR Lebo Sekgethela wants people to know she isn’t gospel musician Lebo Sekgobela.

The 37-year-old from Majaneng in Hammanskraal, Tshwane, said people started mistaking her for the other Lebo in 2017.

The pastor at Born Against Christian Church said people even posted her name with Sekgobela’s photo on Facebook.

“I don’t even know how to sing and I have never met the gospel star,” she said.

Sekgobela said she hoped to one day meet the other Lebo and take a photo with her.

She said when she went to the mall, people would ask her when she was releasing an album and ask her to sing because on top of having a similar name, the other Lebo looked similar to her.

“I don’t know what to say when these young people ask what route they can take to become professional musicians, not knowing that I don’t even sing,” she said.

However, the pastor said she was proud to be compared to a respected gospel singer.

Lebo, who is also a writer and businesswoman, said she had written more than 100 poems in English and was busy writing a book, to be published next year.

“What keeps on inspiring me to write these poems is the way I can play around with words and make them meaningful.

“When I’m writing poems, I feel like I’m connecting to the world,” she said.

“Poems have a meaning in life as they help us to know ourselves and the world,” she said.

Lebo’s Sekgobela’s husband Lucky said he would love to meet his wife’s twin.

“We haven’t heard of anyone who is said to look like my wife. It’s not a problem for her to look like my wife because we are creations of God,” he said.
