Having a good day means starting it off right, according to Gold Series ambassador, Simphiwe Ngema. “If your day starts off on a bad note, and you are rushing from pillar to post, this sets the tone for the rest of your day,” Simphiwe says. “Making sure you are prepared the night before gives you the gift of extra time in the morning.”
No one understands being busy like Simphiwe; not only does she often need to be on set early in the morning, but she also has a burgeoning music career, and her own clothing line in the works. “Between having to be on set from 6am to 6pm and managing the rest of my interests during lunch time, and then performing at night, I need to be able to manage my time perfectly, while still having a balanced life,” says Simphiwe.
Simphiwe is a firm believer in investing in yourself, “because if I don’t, who will,” she says. Along with this investment, there needs to be a balance between what you must do, what you want to do and what you need to do for you. By knowing the differences between these three points and managing your time accordingly, you will be able to start your day off the right way which will make a positive impact on your week and so forth.
Simphiwe shares the tips that she lives by; that make her day easier, help her to look after herself and gives her the time to do what she wants:
- Be prepared for what you know is coming. If you know what tomorrow is going to entail, make sure that you are prepared. This can give you more time, peace-of-mind, and control over what you can manage.
