Thulane “Man of Song” Mdlalose answers his music calling.

African jazz musician Man of Song asks Mzansi to give him a chance and promises to give them great music.

The 22-year-old musician, whose real name is Thulane Mdlalose, has a lot to offer.

Speaking to SunBuzz, Man of Song from Dlamini in Soweto said: “My music is a fusion of old township jazz with a modern touch.

“I’ve spent the past years of my life perfecting my craft. I wanted to give people mature music they’d enjoy.”

He released his debut single Sabela, featuring Afro soul singer Siphokazi, in March.

“I was lucky to have met Siphokazi. I’m grateful she gave me a chance to work with her.

“We met two years ago when we were both booked for an event and clicked.

“We met again at Dorothy Masuka’s memorial service and spoke about working together.

“One day I called her and

asked her to come through. Just like that! I got a talented singer to be on my single.”

Man of Song is also working on his debut album.

“It will be titled Ndomelele. People can expect an intimate session. The album is lively, so people will feel like I’m performing live.”
