The last group of the Idols Top 16 took the stage tonight to compete for a spot in the top 10.

The first group performed last week under the theme the biggest hits of today and group two also continued from that theme.

The Soil member, Buhlebendalo Mda was this week’s guest judge.

Starting the night was Sia who performed The Weeknd’s In Your Eyes. However, the judges weren’t impressed by his performance.

Next up was Zukisa, whose rendition of Yebba’s Distance’divided judges. Unathi and Buhle could not contain their excitement after his performance, but Randall was underwhelmed. Like Sia and Zukisa, Misty who sang Snoh Alegra’s Dying For Your Love also did not impress the judges.

The first contestant to get positive responses from all the judges was Karabo. Buhle called her a powerhouse and said she will win if she continues singing the way she did.

S’22kile tackled Bebe Rexha’s Meant to Be. Unathi was happy both with her song choice and her performance in general, saying she was constantly improving. Buhle said she had a powerful voice, but wished she had opted for a local song.

Monique had Buhle gushing over her performance of Lady Gaga’s I’ll Never Love Again.

Ithana had the judges commending her performance of Chloe x Halle’s Forgive Me. Unathi said she gets better every week, and she was the most powerful this week.

Kevin closed off the performances for tonight with his rendition of Justin Bieber’s Peaches. Both Unathi and Buhle loved his performance and said he did well.

With all the top 16 performances now in the bag, it is now up to the viewers to decide who will return to the Idols stage as part of the top 10.
