GAGASI FM presenter and comedian Sandile “Flymotion” Makhanya is off the market.

Flymotion (45) tied the knot with his girlfriend of four years Gugu Nxele (38) at the Ukhozi Conference Centre in Montclair, south Durban, on Saturday under strict Covid-19 lockdown regulations.

He told Daily Sun they met at one of Flymotion’s comedy shows in Durban.

“Her brother is my friend and Gugu wanted to attend my comedy show. When she went to collect the tickets for the show, her brother gave me her number to communicate with her.

“After the show, we hooked up and started dating at the end of 2017. Dating her changed my life,” he said.

Flymotion, who co-hosts a midday show called Noma Yini alongside DJ La Soul and Heazy, said like all relationships they also had many problems but have been able to fix them.

“Being with her made a big difference in my life because I’m not gallivanting like I used to do before.

“Even when I go out with my friends, I have to return home early. She has made me respect both my jobs, comedy and radio presenting, because I now have a family to look after,” he said.

Flymotion from Clermont, west of Durban, said he appreciated the attendance of other comedians in his wedding such as Simphiwe Shembe, who was an MC, and Mshekesheke of popular Amawele AseChesterville.

Musician Benzy entertained the small audience.

“I have special thanks to DJ Tira, Tzozo, Zakwe, DJ Sox, Celeste Ntuli and Thenjiwe who sent good messages and sent wedding gifts,” he said.

His wife Gugu, who works at Royal Palm Hotel in Umhlanga, told Daily Sun she wants their love to last until death does them apart.

“I will respect my husband and support him in everything he does,” she said.
