ACTOR Sello Maake Ka-Ncube has launched a new campaign through his foundation.
He’ll host live social media chats to commemorate the 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women and Children.
The campaign is dedicated to Sello’s late son, with whom he had conversations about men’s weaknesses before his death in 2011.
The aim is to have fathers and sons speak out against GBV and any disorder affecting society, and opens up a platform to give South Africans the opportunity for meaningful debate on the root causes of GBV, and to come up with ways to stop it.
Sello, who has five kids, was not raised by his biological father and is striving to break the cycle.

His life lessons revealed that being present is not the be-all and end-all of things.
With this realisation and pain of dysfunction resulting from separated parents, he encouraged his sons to be agents of breaking the cycle, and they regularly discuss elements of ideal manhood and fatherhood.
The actor now challenges all fathers to start putting their sons on their shoulders and give them a world view.
The live chats will be held over 16 days starting Tuesday, 1 December, covering topics such as ubuntu, resolving conflict, self-control and contraception.
