AMAPIANO king DJ Maphorisa has become the latest celebrity to see his name used for a scam.
Maphorisa recently took to Twitter to ask people to help him report a fake account using his name.
“Morning, guys. Please help me report this account. Please report fake, fraud and scam accounts,” he wrote.
The account promises to give people R3 000 if they like and retweet its posts.

Many have fallen for it.
Lerato Kganyago, Cassper Nyovest and Musa Mseleku’s names have also been used for fake accounts.
Maphorisa said he found out about the fake account about a month ago.
“I noticed something was wrong when I started trending frequently.
“I didn’t understand why I was trending so much. I noticed the fake account was the reason,” he said.
Maphorisa said he’d tried reporting the account many times.
“I’ve been reporting it, but nothing is being done.
“Hence, I’m now asking the public to help report it.”
