He was nominated alongside Culoe De Song, Floyd Lavine, Hyenah, Osunlade Official and Super Flu.

The DJ, whose real name is Nicodimas Mogashoa, was following in the footsteps of his mentor, Black Coffee, who won the deep house category last year.

Da Capo thanked his fans for voting for him.

He also thanked his record company, Soulistic Music, owned by Black Coffee, and the people of famous party island Ibiza.

Da Capo was born in Seshego, near Polokwane. He has been making music for more than 10 years after first being signed up by Canadian music label DNH Records, owned by well-known DJ Nick Holder.
