DJ Hlo has a bright future ahead of her.
She’s new in the music industry but has already earned herself prominence.
Last month, she told SunBuzz, her wish was to have her song, Festive, nominated on Ukhozi FM’s top 10 chart.
Her wish came true last week!
“It’s such an honour to be nominated for the Summer Song of the Year,” she said.
“Any song could have been nominated, but mine proved to be the biggest in Mzansi.
“What makes it even big is that it’s catchy, relevant and talks to everyone.
“The song was written early this year by Bizizi and Kaygee. They came with the lyrics and I did vocals. It was co-produced by myself and King P Ramela.

“It took us a month to finish the song because we couldn’t meet due to lockdown. They were in Joburg and I was in Durban.
“After the beat was done I sent it to Bizizi and Kaygee to add vocals.”
The KZN-born star said she’s always known she was destined for big things.
“I came on the scene this year. And I must say I’ve achieved so much. I’m impressed with myself,” she said.
“When the nomination announcement was made I was at a gig, and those who know me kept sending me the poster of the top 10 list.
“As I scrolled down I saw my name. At first I thought it was a scam, but more people sent it. Then I started celebrating.
“It’s a dream come true. I can’t even explain the feeling. I’ve no doubt that I’ll win this competition.
“I trust my fans and friends. I also know my song accommodates everyone who loves music.
“This can only mean one thing: that people are ready to enter the new year enjoing my song.”
