AWARD-WINNING gospel star Dr Tumi is known for taking gospel music to new heights.

The Wafika singer, whose real name is Tumisang Makweya, will host the third instalment of his The Gathering of Worshippers at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane tomorrow.

He told Daily Sun: “The preparations are going well.

“I’m just putting together the hectic last-minute things, but I’m very happy with how everything is going.”

This year he would do things differently and had brought in other acts to entertain the fans.

“I have guests this time around, and people are going to enjoy their performances. I’ve invited people I have featured on my albums, including American singer Fred Hammond, Bishop Cortez Vaughn, Khuli Chana and Jaziel Brothers,” he said.

He’ll perform songs from his latest album, Love on the Cross.

The venue takes 50 000 people.
