CONGRATULATIONS are in order for comedian and up-and-coming actor Ndabezinhle “King Nuba” Nuba.

He has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Arbiter, an Italian shoe company.

The announcement was made by the company via Facebook on Monday, 13 September.

It wrote: “Ladies and gentlemen from South Africa, please welcome new Arbiter brand ambassador King Nuba. We are proud, and cannot wait to start this collaboration with one of the most loved entertaining artists in your country.”

The post saw hundreds of his fans and industry colleagues congratulating him.

Jabulisiwe Andiswa Mthembu said: “Congratulations, King Nuba. I didn’t know Arbiter until you mentioned it. I had to ask Google, and indeed I found it. I was inspired. Well done, my brother.”

Mazwi Zuma said it all started as a joke, and added: “But look where you are today. Wishing you nothing but the best to both Nuba and the brand.”

Asiphe Gqokonqana said: “I knew Arbiter through him. Big up, King.”

The comedian said he was grateful to the brand for giving him the opportunity.

“I am also thankful to God and my ancestors for giving me the talent. Most importantly, I thank my fans for supporting my craft,” he said.

King Nuba is one of the promising and fastest-growing artists in Mzansi. A few weeks ago, he also appeared on Imbewu: The Seed.
