MULTI-TALENTED amapiano producer and DJ Tonic da Tune wants to see music lovers dance with Savanna in the air.

Tonic da Tune, who’s real name is Mambeni Khumalo, has released an amapiano song titled Savanna Phezulu to keep Mzansi dancing with their Savanna bottles on the dance floor.

The 18-year-old producer, audio engineer and DJ said the aim is to give people a proper song that will go along with their current mood.

The Bloemfontein-born musician told SunBuzz that the song just came out of the blue in a studio where they were recording other songs.

“When we were recording, we just felt like singing the song Savanna Phezulu and we knew that people would love it.

“After doing it, we realised that coincidental people are also dancing with their Savannas in the air while others are dancing with Savannas on top of their heads” he said.

Tonic da Tune introduced himself in the music industry when he released his debut EP titled Pool Side Volume 1 last year.

He also released her debut single Ngithanda Wena featuring international acclaimed maskandi artist, Mbuzeni Mkhize.

He said his new single song is the sample of his new EP to be released soon, and he’s working on its music video.

“I’m in the studio cooking my new music and I’m sure that people will enjoy it and dance to it.

“I’m here to make people dance to amapiano while encouraging them to have fun when they have time” he said.

His unique style of fusing melodic vocal looks, house and hip-hop melodies, lyrical intelligence and skill of mixing songs with ease, is making waves in the newly formed genre of amapiano.

Savanna Phezulu is available on digital platforms.
