Many Mzansi A-listers trust him to keep their houses spick and span.
McMillan Masoka, a former banker, told SunBuzz more about his journey in the cleaning industry.
Basani Cleaners, clients include the award-winning DJ Zinhle, Ayanda Thabethe, Thando Thabethe, DJ Shimza, Carol Tshabalala and many more.
McMillan told SunBuzz that: “Basani started off early in 2017 while I was working as a banker. One of my friends who had a cleaning company introduced me to the business and since then I have not looked back.
“We have been doing well since day one. I have had businesses before but they failed. This one was the first one that ever became successful. Before venturing into the cleaning service, I went to a business school and the knowledge has been very helpful.”
He said his previous failures were a blessing.
“They taught me the importance of research, being prepared, understanding your client, your market and the business overall.”

McMillan said since the launch of his company, the journey has been amazing.
“We have been growing year in, year out and currently we have contracts with some of the major companies and one of them is a national contract,” he said.
McMillian from Madinyane in Brits, North West, said he is very thankful to DJ Zinhle.
“The reason we are as big as we are today is because of DJ Zinhle. We clean for almost all celebrities in Gauteng because she introduced them to us,” he said.
“Everything started with her. We clean for her almost once a month and because she liked our services, she went online started recommending us and our clientele grew.”
He said because the DJ believed in them, they approached her and asked her to partner with them as they’re opening a new branch in Durban in March.
As we are kicking off the new year, McMillan shared with SunBuzz what he is looking forward to this year.
“The world is changing. We are looking forward to being part of a new world and learning new ways of conducting business as it has moved in a different direction,” he said.
“I’m also looking forward to scoring more contracts and growth such as employing more people from the township, because all our workers are from townships. They are graduates who haven’t landed jobs in their respective fields.”
