Sechaba Gqeba says this season of Motswako will inspire women.

SABC2 talk show Motswako celebrates 20 seasons by celebrating women.

The host, Sechaba Gqeba, said this season is dedicated to Mzansi women.

She told SunBuzz that women will be inspired by the episodes.

“The 20th season celebrates two decades of important conversations.

“We’re pushing women far. We’ll be discussing issues that empower women, issues that make us who we are.

“Most importantly our conversations will be about patriarchy and how women have to navigate through it.

“We want to change lives and push women to be the best versions of themselves.”

The seasoned host said women from all walks of life will be on the show.

Sechaba said: “We’ll celebrate every type of woman. We have women from different professions, sport, media and the queer community.

“We want different women to relate to the show, so we bring different content every week.”

Sechaba said men can also learn from the show.

“Just because it’s focused on women, it doesn’t mean men mustn’t watch.

“We need them to watch. Men are at the centre of the issues that women face.

  • “Men need to watch, so they see what women go through and hear it from the horse’s mouth.”
