Award-winning musician and actress Candy Tsa Mandebele has packed her bags and moved back home.

According to her, it was not an easy decision.

But it was a decision that needed to be taken following the tough year entertainers had last year.

“Candy Tsa Mandebele, like many entertainers in the South African entertainment industry, had a difficult choice to make, she packed her belongings and moved to her house in Bolobedu in Limpopo,” the statement said.

“She has opted to operate her business remotely from the comfort of her village house. While this is not a permanent move, Candy is happy to be at home with her granddaughter and the entire family.”

Late last year Candy was reported to be broke and struggling, but in an interview with Daily Sun she poured cold water on the claims.

“People misunderstood me. I never said I was going through a hard time. It was all misinterpreted. I was thanking my mum for that one time when I needed help during lockdown.

“As we all know the pandemic is a global thing and it affected everyone. I was just sharing my story that it does not choose whether you’re a musician, actor or own a catering company.”

The talented actress is also set to release a new song with renowned producer DJ Call Me.

“Her new single Mmabhula has just been finalised and will be released on 12 march. This is the first single that she will release since she has moved back home,” read the statement.

On the same date, she will also re-release her album Still Here, which was released last year under her own label called Mosekedi Entertainment.
