AWARD-WINNING music producer Prince Kaybee is excited to be a dad.

Real name Kabelo Motsamai, the hit-maker is expecting a child with his TV presenter girlfriend, Zola Mhlongo.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Prince Kaybee said he could not wait to meet his unborn child.

“This is the woman I love, so starting a family with her is something I’m looking forward to. We already know the gender, but Zola wants to keep it under wraps for now,” he said.

A few months ago, a naked picture of the popular producer was leaked onto social media, resulting in him trending for almost a week.

Prince Kaybee shared with the People’s Paper that the nude caused a rift between him and Zola, but they managed to find their way back into each other’s arms.

“We are still together and going stronger, but we went through some highs and lows after the picture was leaked.

“We had multiple fights and breaks in-between, and if she had decided that she did not want me anymore, I was going to be fine with it. I gave her some time and space when the whole thing happened, but I’m glad we managed to make it work,” he said.

Although the leaked nude never caused any reputational damage and instead, gained him 15 000 followers on social media, Prince Kaybee said it was a lesson learnt.

“My mum was very disappointed. I got a call from her the day after the incident, and she shouted at me for an hour. I realised then that this was really messed up,” he said.

Prince Kaybee, who is very outspoken about issues in the music industry, said he would not stop speaking up, no matter how problematic people thought he was.

“For me, what you see is what you get. I don’t want people to guess what I am thinking, hence I put it out there,” he said.

Although he collected a lot of wins in the past year, he shared that the pandemic went deep into his pockets, but he was excited that things were finally easing down.

“I just dropped a single and I’m trying to see how it goes. If it gains momentum, I will start announcing an album,” he said.
