For too long, he has been known as Nasty C’s DJ, but now Audiomarc DJ is spreading his wings.
The talented producer, whose real name is Mark Nkosi, has released his own single titled Why Me, featuring Nasty C and Blxckie.
Speaking to SunBuzz, Audiomarc said the song is about God’s grace.
“As an artist, you aspire to so much for your career and nothing beats that moment when you finally get your shine,” he said.
“The song speaks to many, like me, who have seen God’s grace and often wondered why them? I want them to understand that nothing beats the highest timing.”
The 26-year-old explained why he decided to spread his wings now after many years in the background.

“Timing is everything for me. I believe when it’s time you’ll know. I’ve always known that my journey will lead me to finally sharing my music with people, but I wanted to share it with them when I had something solid to offer. I feel like that time is now,” he said.
Although he has decided to make music of his own, the talented DJ said this doesn’t mean he has stopped being Nasty C’s DJ.
“We believe in the progression of one another and my time is now and Nasty C as well as the rest of the team fully supports that idea.”
The Durban-born musician added that he was working on a project called Addict which is dropping on 12 November.
“The EP is a trap ensemble with a little something for our kasi rap-focused fans,” he told the People’s Paper.
“I’ve shared my experience, memories and unspoken desires with my fans and gave great insights into my musical journey as well as the stories that come with it. All this has led up to this musical moment.”
