ARTIST manager Mbekezeli Zulu was served with a protection order on Sunday, 22 November!

The order was granted last week in the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court, north of Durban.

The 50-year-old’s ex-lover, singer Zinhle “Zeebang” Sithole (20), told Daily Sun last week she’s scared of her manager and wants to be released from her contract.

They met while Zeebang was in matric!

He started off as her manager, but they ended up dating and moving in together. Zeebang claimed it didn’t take long before he started abusing her.

She’s been quoted as saying: “I never opened a case as I was scared of what he might do.

“He’s proven to be a dangerous man and I’m worried about my safety. I want him out of my life.”

The As’joli hitmaker at first wanted to open a criminal case.

“I was advised not to. We still have a contract, but he can’t contact me. When I served him with the order, I insisted I wanted to be released from the contract.”

She later had a change of heart and applied for a protection order.

Mbekezeli’s lawyer, Themba Mjoli, confirmed that the protection order was served.

“I can’t comment any further. The matter is already in court,” he said.

“I need to properly consult with my client and study the papers. Only then can I comment.”
