P resenter of Live Amp, Lamiez Holworthy, celebrates 10 years as a DJ.
The DJ, whose performance videos make the rounds on social media, said she started deejaying as a hobby.
She told SunBuzz she wanted to get into production to celebrate her decade in style.
“I started deejaying because my mum couldn’t afford to take me to school. It changed and became something big in my life,” said Lamiez.
“I’m currently in the process of learning more about production. If all goes well, people will get my first single by December.”
The media personality said she wanted to enter more spaces in the entertainment industry.

“Being a Live AMP presenter is a big deal. I grew up watching it and now it’s a dream come true.
“I’m still learning though and want to better myself as a TV presenter. I’m also trying to get into radio, so I hope that happens soon,” she said.
Lamiez currently hosts a competition called #SingWithSundowns.
“Sundowns is giving artists a chance to showcase their talent and stand a chance to win R1 million. They need to create a song in any Mzansi official language and send in a two-minute clip about their love for Sundowns.
“We choose 13 finalists every month and they win a R30 000 cash prize. Those who vote also stand a chance to win R7 000 each.
“The final winner will be chosen in December. I love this competition as it gives people a chance and financial stability,” she said.
