Vocalist Miss Twaggy has found her home in Afro-pop.
The 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Mbali Ndlovu is from Umlazi in KwaZulu-Natal.
She has been moving from one genre to another and now has finally found where she belongs.
Miss Twaggy told SunBuzz she was glad she had realised where her place was in the music industry.
The singer said: “The first genre I tried was hip hop, and I ended up abandoning it, because I felt like it wasn’t me. I then moved to Afro-house, which I ended up doing for years, until recently.
“Earlier in February, I met an Afro-pop producer, who made me fall in love with the genre.
“I am no longer moving to another genre because I saw a talent I didn’t even know I had.
“We went deeper into places I never thought I could reach with my voice.

“Although I feel I discovered this later than I should have, I’m glad I finally found what I’m supposed to be doing.”
Miss Twaggy is working on her debut album and has already released the first single.
“The single is titled Ngifuna Wena, and is about two lovers who are missing each other because they can’t meet due to lockdown restrictions.
“Released last month, it is available on digital platforms. I’ll also be releasing another single in September titled Isoka.
“Then I might drop the full album.
“People can expect a good album,” she said.
Miss Twaggy also said she was busy in studio on collaborations with some of Mzansi’s top producers.
“I’m also working with Mobi Dixon for his new album, coming out soon. I’ll also be working with another well-known DJ and producer that I cannot mention yet.
“And right now, I have a song titled Ngiyavuma with Prince Benza and Master KG. It is doing well, not just in South Africa but abroad too,” said the singer.
