MIRANDA Ntshangase and Zinzile Zungu are helping to grow the acting industry.
The seasoned actors have opened Star Quality Performing Arts College, which started operating this year in Melville, Joburg.
Miranda told Daily Sun: “We own an agency, Star Quality Management, and through it we used to host workshops.
“But we realised most actors who came to our workshops didn’t have tools to become actors. This means they weren’t familiar with the theory part of acting.
“Eight years ago we started a 12-week acting course online, but that wasn’t enough because some people wanted to learn more.
“We introduced a higher certificate in performing arts this year. We rented out a building and officially started.”
“This is our way of giving back to the industry that helped to make us who we are. But we wanted to teach them the business side as well.
“We want to teach our students everything about acting, so they can also know how to draw up a budget if they don’t want to be actors.
“Zinzi and I just host classes here and there and give advice. We’re not teachers. People can contact us on social media as well. We’ll help them.”
