POPULAR actress Winnie Ntshaba is in mourning.
Best known for her break-out role as Khethiwe on Generations, the actress has revealed that her dad has died.
She took to social media to share the sad news.
“God, your ways are higher than mine. This day in 2015 at the second Royalty Soapie Awards with my parents. And yesterday, a day before the fifth Royalty Soapie Awards ceremony taking place this evening, my dad passed away to go and be with the Lord,” she captioned a picture of herself and her parents.
Winnie, who also lost her mum a few years ago, shared that her parents were now reunited in heaven, which gave her great comfort.
“It’s comforting to know that I saw him just before my birthday, where he gave me his blessings. As sad as I am today, I am at peace knowing that mum, you have reunited with dad. I will celebrate you baba wami. Rest in peace Ntshaba, Mgabe kaTokwane, wena kaYaya. Thole, you fought a good fight. May heaven receive you joyously,” she said.

Shortly after sharing the news, heartfelt messages of condolences started pouring in.
Actress and TV executive Connie Ferguson, who lost her husband a few months ago, commented: “Oh Miss D, I’m sorry my love! They’re both super proud of you. Heaven has received another angel, and you will continue to be guided and protected. May papa’s soul rest in peace.”
Then Skeem Saam actress Mogau Motlhatswi said: “Condolences to you and your family sis Winnie. May you find strength and peace during this time.”
Award-winning reality TV producer Teddy Geldart added: “Sending you so much love Winnie. God’s greatest comfort.”
