HER profile photo speaks volumes, as proven by hundreds of investors who found it attractive enough to fall for the fong kong Luna Investment invitation under it.

Unsuspecting victims have been duped to deposit money, with the hope of good returns.

One recent victim said she was tricked to invest R1 000 on 1 January. She was hoping to get the same amount back, with interest, a week later but that never happened.

“I did everything Simphiwe Ngema wanted me to do but when I was supposed to get paid, I was blocked.”

She said she had been calling and even sending messages, but to no avail.

The woman said she eventually resorted to exposing the popular actress.

“I took my last money, hoping to get good returns but I got nothing. I just want my money back. I could have used it towards purchasing school items for my kids,” said the woman, adding that she invested in the scheme because she trusted Simphiwe.

“I trusted her because she is a celebrity. I never thought she could be a crook.”

The investor said she had some of the conversations she had with Simphiwe.

“I have been communicating with her and it shows that it’s her. Even in the photo, it’s her. I just want to expose her; maybe she can stop.”

Daily Sun contacted Simphiwe to ask about the allegations.

She said she had been telling people to stop falling for the Luna Investment fake scheme, that was using her name.

“It’s a fake account. I have been writing on Facebook to warn people,” she said.
