Thandeka's Diary Actor, Babsy Selela has died.

The legendary actor who has been on the small screens for over 30 years, reportedly died on Tuesday.

His death was announced on Facebook by actress, Nomvula Ndlovu. She said she was devastated by Babsy's passing.

"Babsy? Kanti the last phonecall you gave me was the very last time we spoke. Uthe ungikhumbule saxoxa... Why mfethu... I was still waiting for this time to pass of this Covid19 lockdown bese sibonane these holidays as we had planned around these times... Now you gone, kanjalo nje," she wrote. 

She has since deleted the post on Facebook.

Apollo Sandamela also posted and said the actor was his best friend. He also revealed when he died.

"Yoo my heart is broken my best friend Babsy the comedian Selela is no more passed on on Tuesday night," he wrote.

His cause of death wasn't announced.

Babsy has been on Skwizas, 'Sgud 'Snaysi, Ses' Top La, Tsha Tsha and was also on Shaka, in 1986.

He was mostly known for his role as Malume Zulu on SABC 1's comedy, Thandeka's Diary.
