BEATEN IN FRONT OF KIDS
File photo  ~

Dear MizzB

I’m a married man who lost his job last year.

Things were okay at home till my wife started beating me this year. She beats me whenever she feels I disagree with her.

It is hard because I wasn’t raised to beat a woman but she fills me with shame and anger.

What hurts me is that she does this in front of our children.

Please help me because I am afraid of losing my kids.

Dear Anonymous

Your wife is abusing you and your children who are witnessing her behaviour.

She needs help, and it is up to you to get her the help she needs by reporting her.

By staying in this situation, you are allowing her behaviour to continue and teaching your kids that it is acceptable.

There are laws that will help you as a man to gain access to your children. I applaud you for your courage to speak out.

Men deserve to be protected.
