One of the best-loved crossovers on the market, the popular Nissan Qashqai, has been upgraded.
The model’s changes include many style, technology and performance improvements. The most notable change on the facelifted Qashqai is Nissan’s new “V-motion” grille.
The interior now has better quality materials and a new cabin layout. The top-of-the-range Qashqai Tekna+ version features new seats in Napa leather with 3D quilting on the centre panels. A new D-shaped multifunction steering wheel is fitted with four-way controls as well as satin-chrome inserts.
It also comes with Nissan’s latest infotainment system with a new user interface. Buyers will also be able to choose the car with a seven-speaker Bose sound system.
According to Nissan, the Qashqai also gets changes to the suspension, damping and steering systems, as well as a number of other improvements to reduce noise even more.
Like before, the Qashqai comes with all the typical safety features but Nissan has added others such as the pedestrian detection system.
The engines available will once again include Nissan’s 1,2-litre turbopetrol engine and the 1,6-litre turbodiesel.
The facelifted Qashqai will arrive in South Africa later this year to battle it out with the new Hyundai Creta.
