“I love the va-va-vroom sound motorbikes make when you rev them!”
Those were the words of Stanley Tshikovhele, better known as Shut Up, who lives in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
“To me biking is a way to relieve stress – a means to feel good. I encourage anyone who can afford it to join a biking club,” he said.
Stanley said he has travelled at least 24 000km riding his bike – this is how much he enjoys it!
Q: When did you start biking?
A: I started in 2011.
Q: How was your first day on a bike?
A: It was scary but exciting at the same time.
Q: Can you tell us about your first bike?
A: My first bike was a Boulevard 1 800cc.
Q: What type of bike do you own currently?
A: I own a Kawasaki ZX 1 400cc.
Q: Why did you buy it?
A: Because it is currently the fastest production bike around.
Q: Why the colour red?
A: This colour is beautiful – people can’t miss me when I’m on the road.
Q: Have you got any traffic fines?
A: No, nothing yet.
Q: How often do you ride?
A: I ride twice a week but mostly on weekends and holidays.
Q: Do you have a licence for your bike?
A: Yes, I do I have a riding licence.
Q: Tell us about your outfit?
A: I wear GPI and Arlen Ness protective gear whenever I ride.
Q: Do you have a pet name for it?
A: Yes, I call my bike Red Rose.
Q: Have you customised it?
A: Yes, I had a Yoshimura exhaust system installed.
Q: What do you love most about it?
A: It is very quick and handles the road very well. I don’t remember getting stuck anywhere since I started riding it.
Q: Do you belong to a club?
A: Yes, I joined the Sun Riders motorcycle club.
