MEET the young businessman who wants to tell you all about his car.

All the way from Mfundo Park in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, Nhlanhla “JD” Ngwenya gave SunWheels the low down on his ride.

Q: What car do you drive?

A: It’s a Volvo S80 2,9. It’s my fourth car and I nicknamed it Goliath.

Q: When did you buy it?

A: I bought it in April 2017.

Q: Why do you love this car?

A: Besides the love I have for all big cars, it’s comfortable on the road and it drives like a German car.

It is powerful and fast, but it’s a bit heavy on fuel because of its big engine – you do the maths.

Q: Why did you choose that colour?

A: Well, the colour didn’t really catch my eye, but I do figure grey suits it. I can’t imagine it being any colour honestly.

Q: Is there anything you want to change?

A: I want to change its mag wheels. Only time will tell if I want to alter anything else.

Q: How far have to travelled with it?

A: I have travelled far and wide with it. I have been to Tzaneen, Polokwane, Marblehall, Mpumalanga, North West and KZN. It’s a joy to drive long distance.

Q: Would you let someone else drive it?

A: Yes, but only when I am in the car as well.

I’m not a fan of letting other people drive my wheels because I only trust my own driving to guarantee my safety.

Q: What do you think of other drivers on Mzansi roads?

A: Mzansi drivers are not that bad, but we do have our bad habits that we need to drop – especially guys with fast cars.

My advice to other drivers is: let’s obey the rules of the road, and let’s arrive alive – don’t drink and drive.
