Ford has unleashed the Fiesta ST – and it sizzles!

The next generation Fiesta ST is powered by the all-new three-cylinder, 1,5-litre EcoBoost engine.

This turbopowered engine thrusts out enough power to push the car from zero to 100km/h in just 6,7 seconds!

It is the third generation of the Fiesta ST but the first Ford performance model to be powered by a three-cylinder engine.

Though the new Fiesta range is due in South Africa towards the end of the year, the new ST will only be at local dealerships in 2018. It will be available in three-door and five-door body styles. The model will be offered with a greater variety of interior trim customisation and personalisation options than before.

The racy but bold and distinctive exterior style includes a unique race-car-inspired mesh grille and eye-catching 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior features supportive Recaro seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. It also comes with all the must-have features such as a high-tech multimedia system.

The new Fiesta ST will take on hot hatches such as the VW Polo GTI and Renault Clio RS. The battle is on!
