The new Dzire compact sedan is due to arrive here next year.

Suzuki, which has been named South Africa’s best car brand for this year, is ready to wow car buyers even more!

At the end of last year the Japanese car maker unveiled its new Swift hatchback and – now its sedan sibling, the all-new Dzire, has made an appearance too.

Though this new compact sedan shares its design cues with that of the new Swift, Suzuki has dropped the Swift name from this model and it will only be known as the Dzire.

This means that the Dzire will be a model range in its own right and take on other compact sedans like the Toyota Etios.

The Dzire’s overall design seems more mature and even sporty.

Suzuki’s new four-door also has a different dashboard design from the Swift but it shares most of its comfort and safety features.

The new Dzire will reportedly be powered by the same 1,2-litre engine of the current model.

Suzuki will launch the new Swift here next year and the Dzire will only after that introduction.

However, in the meantime Suzuki is gearing up to launch its Ignis compact crossover in South Africa.

The Ignis is due for local introduction in the next month or two and will be the funkiest Suzuki ever.

It is a super compact SUV, with the latest features, big attitude and retro cool styling.

With loads of space, great visibility and technology at your fingertips it is destined to become a sales success. That’s something to look forward to!
