SYLVIA SUBMITS A DISPUTE FORM

accreditation

THE FACTS

SYLVIA Themba from Mpumalanga said there have been unauthorised deductions from her grant. The deductions range from R13 to R150.

She said this started happening after a young woman made friendly conversation with her and asked to see her ID. She tried to have the payments stopped, but didn’t get any help. Sylvia asked the SunDefender for help.

WHAT I DID

I asked Boitshoko Molamu from the South African Social Security Agency to investigate.

SOLUTION

The Sassa branch in Mpumalanga was asked to assist with the matter. Sylvia was asked to complete a dispute form. She must include a copy of her ID and an affidavit and submit these documents to her nearest Sassa office.
