THE FACTS
Ntombikayise Masuku from Ermelo, Mpumalanga wanted to register for a grade R teaching diploma at Lyceum College.
She made inquiries and paid R13 050.
When she went to register she was told by a consultant that the account number she used for the deposit was from Damelin and not Lyceum, so she could not register.
She tried, without success, to get a refund from Damelin and decided to come to the SunDefender for help.
WHAT I DID
I asked Damelin to investigate.
SOLUTION
Ivodia Schoeman, manager at Damelin, took the matter to their financial department. Lebohang Makoro at Lyceum College advised that Ntombi doesn’t have to worry.
Lebohang contacted Ntombi to inform her that the problem had been resolved so she can register for her course. She is happy.
She can now get on with her future plans.
