THE FACTS
RICHARD Legodi from Mmotong wa Perekisi outside Polokwane in Limpopo, bought furniture at Barnetts Furniture Store while he was a staff member. He had a staff account, and according to company policy, he was supposed to be paid back a portion of the rebates after completing the payments. He tried several times to claim the money without success. Richard came to the SunDefender to ask for help.
WHAT I DID
I contacted legal administrator Thandi Skosana at JD Financial Services, which is part of the JD Group, who promised to investigate.
SOLUTION
I sent proof of Richard’s payment and his bank statement as requested. Thandi confirmed that Richard is entitled to get a portion of the money back. A happy Richard told the SunDefender he has already received a sum of R7 000 from JD Group.
