EPHRAIM MUST GET AN AFFIDAVIT

accreditation

THE FACTS

EPHRAIM TSWAYI from Hillbrow, Joburg, said he was injured at work but his employer refused to sign compensation forms that would enable him to make a claim.

He came to the SunDefender to ask if there was a way the Compensation Fund at the labour department could assist in such an instance.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to the fund on their procedures.

SOLUTION

Themba Mdluli advised that Ephraim must get a police affidavit.

He must explain in the affidavit what happened and the reasons the employer gave for refusing to
report the injury on duty.

Ephraim must then go to a labour centre and request the help of an inspector who will investigate and advise accordingly.
