NOW is the time to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among stokvel members.
This is why the washing detergent brand Ariel formed the Ariel Stokvel Academy. In partnership with Business Skills South Africa, Ariel wants to help women become financially independent – even to start and build their own businesses.
Anyone who has dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur, but did not know how to start or where to go, now has the opportunity.
The academy offers women who are stokvel members free training in business, entrepreneurship and financial skills.
This will make sure women not only become independent breadwinners, but can also uplift their communities by promoting job creation.
While the Ariel Stokvel Academy focuses on women, men can also sign up for a one-day course in Gauteng in February and April and KZN in March and May.
“If you are a woman between the ages of 25 and 55, a stokvel member and want to start or grow a small business, speak to someone from the academy,” said Busi Skenjana, founder of the academy and BSK Marketing.
The course includes topics on starting a business, managing finances and budgeting.
