SEE your money differently!
This is what Mzansi people are being challenged to do.
As the sponsor of Design Indaba for three years, Nedbank used the platform to identify, sponsor and challenge 40 emerging creative people to see money differently, and use their ingenuity to try and solve ongoing problems.
As winner, Titus Khoza got R100 000 towards his project.
“This is not just a marketing initiative, but a reflection of the banks’ continuing business evolution. We seek to make sure that people experience our brand in line with our promise,” said head of group marketing, Thulani Sibeko.
He said Mzansi would connect more with the bank when they saw the new TV commercial where the bank takes the viewer through a story where you see money moving through different hands to show it has no will of its own.
“It is the owner who decides what to do with the money. In the right hands and when well-managed, money has the capacity to do good,” he said.
The bank wants to use its financial understanding to allow people, families, businesses and society to do good.
According to Sibeko, the bank’s new positioning is informed by almost two years of research, which found that people want to work with purpose-driven institutions they can trust.
“They want a professional financial partner that balances their expertise with a genuine commitment to do good.”
Expect to see a number of changes in the next few months as the bank turns around its advertising, products, services and channels. And take note of these changes as they are designed to inspire you to see money differently and achieve your goals.
