SUMMER is here, which means lots of families are spending more time away from the stuffy heat of the kitchen.
And if they’re not braaiing, then they’re visiting fast food outlets.
Pizza is always the first choice for most, and now Col’Cacchio pizzeria have launched their latest edition of their much loved Celebrity Chef Series.
The range will became available at stores across South Africa from this month until April, along with the new summer menu.
Since 2009, the celeb chef series has raised over R1,8 million for charitable causes through the R5 donation from the sale of each celebrity chef pizza.
Funds raised by the campaign will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Trust, fund-raiser for the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, which treats kids from Mzansi and all over Africa.
The popular Italian-inspired eatery will be collaborating with distinguished celeb chefs, such as Zola Nene, Neill Anthony and Claire Allen, to deliver a new range of limited edition gourmet pizzas.
Over the years, Col’Cacchio pizzeria has worked with a number of talented chefs experimenting with a diversity of ingredients to create authentic, fresh and innovative dishes. For the first time this year, the three celeb-inspired pizzas will be on sale at the same time and for an extended period of 6 months at a cost of R105 (each).
Zola Nene’s Don Salsa:
A tomato base, pulled BBQ chicken pizza drenched in mozzarella, smoked mozzarella with corn and a fresh avocado salsa topped with Tabasco Chipotle sauce.
Neill Anthony’s The Private Chef
A crème fraîche and spinach base, mozzarella with marinated Asian chicken topped with a truffle-infused Asian mayonnaise, crispy leeks, basil and Italian Parmesan shavings.
Claire Allen’s The Phat Cat
An authentic inspiration from lasagne as beef Bolognese, with a creamy béchamel sauce and topped with mozzarella
