Moyo restaurant’s winter menu is everything you need to keep the cold away.
Chef Ruphus Baloyi spoke to SunFood about the menu.
Chef Ru said it was their annual tradition to relaunch their menu that combined the finest urban cuisines with African influences.
The menu costs R185 a guest for a two-course meal and R225 a guest for a three-course meal – and it has something for everyone.
They cater to meat lovers and vegetarians with meals like Chef Ru’s red pepper soup, bleddie warm chicken samoosas, fresh mussels in curried coconut broth and North African-inspired chermoula meat balls.
- For mains, guests can choose between curried butternut lasagne for vegetarians, line fish jollof, Moroccan chicken, nyama na kumba – beef sirloin skewered with prawns – and sticky glazed short ribs.
- Those with a sweet tooth will have to choose between Mama’s sago crumble, which brings together two firm favourites, and decadent chocolate brownies.
Ru said he was extremely excited by the menu and was looking forward to seeing more customers coming in.
“I have been working with various brands under the Fournews holding company for the past 25 years and I have learnt a lot. I have used all my experience to make sure that we give our customers their money’s worth.”
The all-winter menu meals include a 250ml carafe of Brampton Wine – unfortunately this cannot be substituted for any other beverage.
The menu is also valid for groups of 20 guests or less. These offers are available until 31 August.
