How to make sure your business is a success!

accreditation

ENTREPRENEURSHIP is blossoming in Mzansi.

But too many businesses fail within the first two years . . .

Those who are planning to go into business need to be prepared.

Lindani Dhlamini started her auditing and business consulting firm, SekelaXabiso, 11 years ago with nothing but a dream. And now she employs 300 people and her business generates over R250 million a year.

Lindani shared some business tips with entrepreneurs.

“Entrepreneurship takes more than a dream to succeed, but with the right vision it can be hugely rewarding,” she said.

She said having passion that is based on a far-reaching vision and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society are the foundation for running a successful business.

But what are her tips for success?

,  Have a clear vision – Your vision must be clear because along the way there are many distractions which could derail your focus.

,  Invest time in your business – Success takes time and consistent action to manifest into reality.

,  Invest in the right resources – Find and invest in the right skills and resources for your business to succeed.

,  Allies – Working with or making allies with an established business is one of the most successful strategies to penetrate markets that would otherwise have been off limits.

,  Remain current and relevant – Change is going to happen. In fact, the only thing in life that is certain is that things change. For this reason you need to constantly keep up to date with events that happen around you and which you need to adapt to.

Learning is a critically important business skill. You must know what’s happening in business, politics and law as well as the latest technology developments.
