NO MATRIC? NO PROBLEM, TRY AGAIN!

accreditation

A MATRIC certificate is regarded as a passport to a brighter and better future.

But not all people have a matric certificate and many of them end up in a lifelong struggle trying to find a job.

Media Works, adult education specialists, has an e-learning programme that is already changing education for the better.

The Matric Works Programme allows adults to complete their matric in order to further their studies or even find a paying job.

The programme is an internet-based education platform that helps out of school people to recap, learn and write exams for them to be able to pass.

After completing these exams, they will be awarded their amended senior certificate – an equivalent of a matric qualification.

It is estimated that only a third of adults in Mzansi have completed matric, which leaves the large majority of adults in the country without the education to find jobs or education of their choice.

Dennis Lamberti, the development director of Media Works, said their programme answered a need that many South African adults have today.

“Once a person fell out of the school system, there was no straightforward way back,” he said.

As the largest private adult basic education and training provider in Mzansi, which has been around for the past 20 years, their aim is to see those who don’t have matric certificates earn theirs.

He said their curriculum has been presented in a way that offers solutions so that people can study anywhere, anytime, on any device to complete the work at their own pace.

Applications for the programme are now open.
