SunEducation jumps at any opportunity to help pupils and students with their upcoming exams.
Monash South Africa spoke to us about how you can be better prepared and feel more confident when you sit for your matric finals.
The university offers Matric Revision Reloaded sessions at their campus that can be attended by all matric pupils from all over Joburg.
The objective of these sessions is to help this year’s class earn the results they want in the finals.
The revision sessions have space for up to 400 pupils and also include specialised personal attention through dedicated question and answer sessions.
They will run for nine days, from Saturday, 30 September, to Sunday, 14 October.
Kedibone Matloga, Monash South Africa’s senior student adviser, said these matric revisions were aimed at helping the university engage with high school pupils.
“This will allow us to give pupils a competitive edge when it comes to their matric exams and finals.
“It is the second yearly session held on campus – the first session having proved to be a great success.”
There is a once-off registration fee of R300 which provides all the notes for every subject covered as well as a snack – a packet of chips, fruit juice and a chocolate – for every day that they are on campus.
As a bonus, Kedibone said those who sign up for sessions will also get access to the on-campus wi-fi and can freely use the campus library.
Each subject is covered in dedicated one-day sessions, with a lecturer assigned to teach each subject.
This allows for all subjects to be covered thoroughly, so that each pupil leaves feeling better prepared but also better equipped to do well.
“Subjects that will be covered during this period include physical science, life science, Afrikaans, mathematics literacy paper 1, English, accounting, mathematics paper 1, geography, literacy paper 2 and business studies.”
